Building Access System

Our building entrances use the ButterflyMX and OpenPath systems for resident and guest access. Our video callbox and keypad access panel allow residents to use a PIN code or to send "virtual keys" to guests. Visitors may also use the panel directory to video call, voice call or text message a resident, who may then open the door for their guest. Gates and doors can also be opened by residents using Bluetooth, proximity sensors or the internet app.

When accepting deliveries, our secure vestibule can be accessed using package delivery service access codes which grant the service access to the package area but not to the general building.

Secure Parking

Rose Rent Lofts features a gated parking area with an automated gate which closes every evening and reopens during the day. After hours, the gate can be opened with our residents proximity card, smart device or the PIN access pad.

Our parking area has 15 young, flowering trees: Ivory Silk Lilacs, Crepe Myrtle, Pussy Willow, Dogwood & Crabapple.

Ruin Garden

At the corner of Burkhart Avenue & 3rd Street is our "ruin garden". The center sculptural display is comprised of some of the original and reproduction brownstone fragments used in the 1909 structure. A mix of flowering perennials and annuals are planted here to create a welcoming blooming garden for our residents and neighbors.

Rose Garden

Over 60 red Knockout roses (and several of other varieties) adorn our east garden atop the stone wall along 3rd Street.

Rose Patio

Our rose garden surrounds a brick patio. All the bricks were salvaged from parts of the old school that were removed to provide access between the 1930 building and the 1909 building which is Rose Rent Lofts.

Grilling Patio

A small patio area with evening lights and quietly trickling fountain is tucked behind a screen of bamboo trees. A high top table seats four.

Orchard Hill

On the hill between Rose Rent and our neighbor - the Chambersburg Apothecary and Wellness Center - we are planning a small grouping of fruit trees. As homage to the rich tradition of the orchards of Franklin County, Gala apples, peaches, pears and other trees will be planted so that residents and neighbors might enjoy their bounty.
